The foundations of 22m waterwheel used for gold battery
The wheel was mounted on large stone foundations and was set into motion by a supply of water from a race. The wheel was 22m in diameter and had 220 bucks, it drove the main shaft for the battery stamper and was in operation from the 1880's till 1904
