Mouth Of Kolan River Conservation Park - QLD

This conservation park protects beautiful mangrove-fringed estuaries and long sandy beaches supporting hundreds of migratory and resident shorebirds. There is one camping area on a small island near the mouth of the river, accessible only by boat

The park was first gazetted as an environmental park in 1985, and was later changed to a conservation park in 1994. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service manages Mouth of Kolan River Conservation Park under the Nature Conservation Act 1992.
