Blackdown Tableland NP is located 180 km west of
Rockhampton and 110 km east of
Emerald and is the traditional homeland of the Ghungalu people. Rising high above the surrounding plains the park protects deep gorges, spectacular lookouts and scenic waterfalls.
Rock faces display traditional Ghungalu artwork.
Facilities include
camping area with fire
places,
public toilets, and picnic tables. There are some short, easy walks and a Rangers office on site.
Access road is tar but quite steep as it climbs over 800m to the plateau. Undulating 2WD dirt road to
Gudda Gumoo Falls. In Sept 2011 a 4WD track was closed off with no notice given at the entry station.
