Despite the name, this 2WD accessible site is located below the escarpment and adjacent to Florence Creek. Tap water (boil before drinking),
toilets, showers and fire pits are provided. No generators permitted. Disabled access to facilities. Limited (nearby) mobile coverage.This site is no longer restricted to 4WD now that the road is sealed. It is listed as a category A
campground so has the latest amenities upgrade however showers are still cold. An easy, flat, paved 700m walking track leads from the
campground to
Florence Falls plunge pool. Many people find this a more accessible
campground that the other
camp above the ridge, which features 135 step stairway to get to the plunge pool.No pets, not generators. Fire permitted in fire pits unless fire ban in place.
Flushing
toilets, accessible room for baby change/disabled facilities. Cold showers. Suitable for camper trailers, tents and vans. Shaded sites.
