Located on a spur off the
Border Track, the Araucaria Track leads to the Orchid Bower and Araucaria Lookouts. These lookouts are only accessible on foot.Araucaria
Lookout provides grand
views into the Woggunba (source of Daves Creek) and Numinbah Valleys. To reach the
lookout, start at Binna
Burra initially taking the
Border Track, then branching off onto the Mt Hobwee track and finally to Araucaria
Lookout via Orchid Bower. Araucaria cunninghamii, commonly known as the Hoop Pine grows in the area. It is a 19 km return walk. The walk passes through mostly rainforest and some sclerophyll forest and heath.
