Small area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 5 people per
camp. Set amongst trees in open eucalypt forest.
Suitable for tent camping beside your vehicle. Dirt/grass. There are no facilities except picnic tables, visitors must be self-sufficient and prepared for emergencies.
Open fires are prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended to minimise impacts. Generators are not allowed.
Take all food and drinking water, sturdy rubbish bags, insect repellent, sun protection, remote-area first-aid kit, reliable torch, and communications equipment. Mobile phone coverage is poor; satellite phones, UHF radios and EPIRBs recommended.
The road in is unsealed and can be reached via Builyan in a four-wheel-drive vehicle in dry weather only. Access from the Bruce Highway on the
Granite Creek Forestry Road is possible for four-wheel-drive vehicles only in dry weather. It is not accessible for vehicles towing on-road trailers, caravans or for motor homes.
