Herberton Mining Museum - QLD

A very good volunteer managed Mining Museum which also now doubles as the Local Heritage Museum for those persons looking for details into distant relatives and family trees.
There are plenty of static and educational displays for those interested in geology and mining through the complex with a highlight being a fully functioning scale model Dredge that was operating in the Herberton district until the 1960's.
Parking of large motorhomes and caravans is available, plus there are walking tracks for those want to do a bit more exploring.
