Mount Gillen is an obvious peak which can be seen from Flynn Grave memorial off Larapinta Drive. Whilst the walk trail is a
well trodden path leaving out from the
carpark, it is unformalised and unsignposted. The 360 degree
views over the ranges, valleys and western parts of
Alice Springs are very rewarding. Walking poles will be useful as the trail is loose and rocky in parts, especially the ascent and descent. Remember to carry water, particularly in summer.
