Parkrun organise free, weekly timed 5km runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free and are safe and easy to take part in. These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and we encourage people of every ability to take part; from walkers or those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; we welcome you all.
The Applecross Park Run takes place very Saturday at 8am at Jeff Joseph Reserve. Park Runs are entirely run by volunteers and are ideal for travellers wanting to explore local areas and meet the locals. Dogs (on leads) and prams are allowed too. Mobile coffee van visits each week.
Applecross parkrun begins heading west towards
Fremantle along the boardwalk, where it will continue for approx. 2k before turning at the corner of Ness and Melville Beach Roads. The turn point is just before the path turns from
grey to red. It then runs back along the same path, passed the start line and a further 500m turning at the corner of The Strand and Nisbet Road before heading back towards the start line. The finish line is off the path in front of the playground just before the toilets.
You must register once with parkrun before attending any of their events - this is free - see
