Information

Large open rest area for campers, caravanners, motorhomes.

The Gillingarra School and church were relocated to a second site after the siding was established as a railhead in 1893. Funds were raised by bazaars and sports meeting at Yarawindah sports ground. Miss Margaret Butler was the first teacher in 1908, and a third generation teacher of a pioneer family in the area.
