Loud Clicking Sound Electric Brakes

Yeah, was a tight reverse so was on off on the brakes, haven’t heard that before though was quite weird,

If unsure I'd pop the hubs off and check.

The electric brake should work in reverse as the magnet and arm are moved the opposite way and expand the brake shoes just the same. My Tvan ones worked in reverse and so do my caravan ones too. After all they are servo brake design with a floating bottom to auto apply after activation. That is why when adjustment is too far off they wrap on and stick on, sometimes pinging as they release when the brake signal is removed. It may be the electric magnet units are worn tapered and when activated in reverse they catch on the stud holes and ping and as it throws the magnet off the drum face they may release a bit and then instantly reapply. A check of the magnets and shoe wear is always a good idea.
