Stephen, Sounds like it was a great trip and thanks for taking the time to write it up in a blog...
We are thinking of heading up this year about the same time as your travel.
Next time through that way be sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore the Atherton Tablelands as there is much to see and do. I grew up in North Queensland and lived and worked in Malanda on the Tablelands.

Hi Baz

Thanks for taking the time to look over my latest Blog

When you head up there, just take your time to explore the many great features of the Cape.

As we have visited the area a number of times,we have explored the Atherton Tablelands extensively and after all our visits there before, never know about the Black Mountain Road and that is why we did it while staying at Mareeba.

It is one part of Queensland that we will revisit for sure.
