Worked through all of the latest article processes for Offline downloads and it brings up the download button and all seems good but when you click download, it starts downloading then error "File format not recognized".

It will allow places, treks to download.

Anyone else using windows had this issue and if so a fix.

I had the same problem on my laptop but on looking at Traveller News Edition 6 - Troubleshooting Tips and following the instructions to the end, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Seems to be working OK now with latest mapset.

Spoke too soon. The maps did not download and a message that 'offline maps not available'. Only online maps were available. I deleted the maps to try a new download but the original fault message appears. Can't access online maps either.

Whoo Hoo! After my previous posts Michelle got in touch by email. After a bit of to and froing I got my problem explained successfully and David did some computer magic at his end. I was then able to download the map files.
A bit of a warning, take note of the file sizes and download times for the 144k maps, particularly if you have a slow connection and limited download allowance. It took quite awhile to download the 144k east. I will do the central and west at a later date.
Every thing is now working as advertised and with the 144k map the zoom goes from 12 to 14.
Now I'm a happy chappy.
Thanks Michelle and David.

Hi Rod, Yes I upgraded and downloaded the latest version last week, and it does take a long time to load the Map files 1.5 hours form the East Pack, & 1.0 Hr. for a couple of the others. Macca.
Macca.
