Description

A standout small shrub with heathlike foliage and conspicuous flowers. Flowers have 5 petals. The calyx remains on the plant long after the flowers have faded, retaining an appearance of being still in flower.

Flowering start in August.

Identification

The main flower colour is pink. Long threadlike awns on the calyx lobes are a feature of most species of Calytrix.
