Well 37 (Lipuru or Libral) Susceptible to flooding. The whip pole, broken trough and sign are still all visible from flood banks. The area is surrounded by flooded ti-trees. There are 3 gravesites at this location. One grave is for the drovers Shoesmith and Thomson and another alongside is for Chinaman. These men where all killed here by bush natives in 1911. The 2 graves are framed by wooden fences and are situated to the left of the main carpark area on a slight rise. To the right of the carpark about 100m away is the grave of John McLernon. A camel driver in the Locke Oil Prospecting expedition in 1922, who was also killed here in 1922. This particular well is also known as "Haunted Well" due to these murders.
