Accessible by hiking the Mount Field East Circuit Track (11km total). The final 500m to
the summit involves scrambling across a steep
rock scree with
cairns markers pointing out the easiest route. Once at the top, walkers are rewarded with panoramic
views of the Derwent Valley and the Mount Field plateau.
