Information

Burke and Wills camped here on 29/1/1861. The party had covered considerable distance this day from Camp 107 due to Burke's confusion of the time. The Moon was so bright that he raised camp at 2.00am!This camp was named by Wills as Golah's Camp. Golah was a Camel that in the morning got stuck in a mud hole and could not climb out. The men spent a lot of time trying to get the camel out and finally abandoned the attempt and left the camel behind.
