Information

To make the most of our peace and tranquillity, campsites are scattered throughout the forest. There are 4 main camping areas, The Forest Camp, The Creek Camp, The Mountain Camp and The Overflow, each offering something different. We have smaller sites, suitable for a couple, a family or a few friends through to larger sites for groups. Each campsite has its own firepit and all sites have been levelled for a comfortable stay. Hot showers and flushing toilets are provided. We cater for all forms of camping including tents, camper trailers and caravans. The campground is accessible by 2WD and 4WD vehicles. Dogs are not permitted.

Amenities with flushing toilets and hot gas showers are located at each camp area. The main amenities at the Forest Camp are powered (handy for charging phones etc) and contain hot gas showers and flushing toilets. There is an outdoor hot gas shower at the Creek Camp, Mountain Camp and The Overflow . These showers are fully enclosed for privacy with no roof. They provide campers with the unique experience of showering under the stars.

Cullendore High Country is located only 25 minutes south of Warwick at 248 Cullendore Creek Road. We are in the heart of the Cullendore district at the gateway to the New England, just over 2 hours drive from Brisbane. This puts us within easy reach of the high country national parks including Boonoo Boonoo NP, Basket Swamp NP, Bald Rock NP, Tooloom NP and Girraween NP. There are a number of waterfalls within an easy drive from the campground including Queen Mary Falls, Brown’s Falls, Dagg’s Falls, Tooloom Falls and Undercliffe Falls.

We are only a short drive from Stanthorpe with its various wineries, restaurants and coffee shops, gourmet food producers and interesting tourist attractions. If you are feeling adventurous you may like to drive to Stanthorpe via the Qld/NSW border through Maryland National Park (this is a 4x4 track).

Cullendore High Country has been cattle country since European settlement.
Over the past decade we have been setting aside the forests on our property as a wildlife reserve. This has been done by fencing our cattle out of significant areas of our property. We have fenced off the major creeks and the Maryland River as well as many hectares of sclerophyll forest.

The remaining land is used to breed Angus cattle.
