Ipswich, the BVRT is Australia’s longest rail trail at 161km. Traffic free along it’s length it’s rural sights are very pleasant. The Yumbun Tunnel is a highlight. The trail skirts numerous small towns (Blackbutt,
Linville, Moore, Harlin,
Toogoolawah, Esk, Coominya, Lowood, Ferndale) for easy access to accommodation, rest stops and food. The greatest distance between towns is 24km.A private shuttle service operates along the length of the trail.
