Woolshed Flat campground offers peaceful
camp sites right on the edge of the gorgeous Turon River, making it a great place to explore the bush and river tracks of Turon National Park.
Bookings are required. Book online or call the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757. There are no camping fees at this
campground but a $6 booking fee applies.
20 campsites, not marked and unpowered. Bring drinking water, cooking water, firewood. Picnic tables, barbecue facilities. Rubbish
bins are not available, so please take your rubbish with you when leaving.
Check the weather before you set out as the road to this
campground can become boggy and the river crossings can be impassable after heavy rains.
From the
campground you can easily
check out some of the park’s remote bushwalking opportunities and just soak up the sights of the diverse landscape and native animals that live in the area.
Access to this tranquil, relaxed spot involves
river crossing, so naturally it's popular with 4WD enthusiasts and self-sufficient campers looking for an idyllic getaway.
Make the most of everything this lovely area has to offer by packing your fishing gear, your swimmers, your binoculars for birdwatching, and strap the canoe to the roof if you have one.
Flying a drone for recreational purposes is prohibited in this area. Drones may affect public enjoyment, safety and privacy, interfere with park operations, or pose a threat to wildlife. Firewood is not provided and may not be collected from the park. Generators are not permitted in this
campground. Pets are not permitted.
