Lake Nuga Nuga Campground - QLD

Lake Nuga Nuga campground lies in the Qld National Park of the same name. Access to the park is via the Dawson Hwy, turning off onto the sealed Arcadia Valley Road about 30km southeast of Rolleston. The last 15km to the park are on an unsealed natural surface track that would be impassable or closed when wet. There are numerous camp sites along the shoreline and on the peninsular, accessed by both maintained and unmaintained natural surface tracks. The area is remote and all campsites are primitive with no facilities. BYO everything. Some are close to the waterline, others set some distance back.Lake Nuga Nuga is a bird watchers paradise with over 150 species recorded, along with other wildlife attracted to the area by the abundant water.The lake is dotted with dead trees and stumps and the shores lightly forested with eucalypts and, closer to the water, stands of she-oak.See also the adjacent EO Place, Lake Nuga Nuga.
