There are 3 options from this point:
1) Joffre Waterfall - after a very short walk over the creek, the trail descends to
the gorge where you must descend difficult
rock edges (
rock climbing) to reach
the gorge floor. A series of blue markers are nailed into
the rock to guide the way however this route is only for very fit and agile people. Once you reach
the gorge floor , turn to the right and the
cavern opens up into an
amphitheatre. During the dry season the waterfall may not be running and you can walk right up to it on the sand.
2)Start the same walk as above but instead of descending down into
the gorge, continue walking along the rim.
3)From the main
carpark and signboards take the trail to the right and simply walk out on a boardwalk to the
lookout. Suitable for all fitness levels. Good
views to
the gorge and waterfall below.
