Dam is a
rock-fill gravity
dam with a clay core across the Macquarie River upstream of
Wellington in the central west region of New South Wales, Australia. The
dam's main purpose is to store nearly 1200 GL of water for irrigation. It has an additional airspace capacity of 490 GL for flood mitigation and a gated spillway to divert floodwater around the
dam.
