Lake Moogerah is located the Scenic Rim town of
Boonah and just east of the Cunningham Highway near
Aratula. The
dam holds back the waters of Reynolds Creek and provides irrigation waters for farms along that creek and to nearby Warrill Creek and the Warrill Valley. It is a popular fishing, boating and water skiing facility with quality camping facilities on its shores.
The
day use area has a cafe, picnic shelters with tables and seats, other seating, barbecues and drinking water. It is a major area tourist area with many tourists visiting the many wineries that are supported by its water.
