Information

Deserts Gate is part of the Giles Breakaway which was named by Frank Hann in 1905.
It is located along the southern portion of the eastern flank of the breakaway.

Explorer David Carnegie was traveling with Gus Luck when he named the gate on 10 May 1894, on his way back to Coolgardie from his first exploring and prospecting expedition.
