Hi all, Newby here and digital numpty as well.
Leg 1, three days to get from Brisbane to Murray Bridge SA to collect my new canopy.
Leg 2, seven day drive home via back roads and all free camping on rivers or lakes.

Buggered if I can get it to do what I want on the PC. Help
Any locals prepared to give one on one tuition in Brisbane.

I want to select a start point for each consecutive day, that is not my 'current position',

I use Google maps (on the computer) to plan the different legs and put the info into spreadsheets to save it. I also use wikicamps to plan overnight stops.

Hi ghezzi,

I do the same as Rod as a start, and also use the Hema Road & 4WD Atlas.

Thanks guys, I resorted to that last night.

My next dilemma is, I managed to save a 3-day trip in a folder, but it shows on the map permanently.
I was hoping to save it and recall it when I need it, but then move on and plan the 7-day return trip separately.

Slow progress ......

It takes a bit of playing to get the hang of setting up a trek, and I'm no expert. What has worked for me is to set up your outward journey as one trip. If you stop for the night somewhere your device will start off from where you are the next day, so no need to set up a trek for each day of your journey. Sort the return trek when you decide the route you'd like to take.
