Are you asking a question ? It would be better if you spelt diesel properly and asked “which diesel heater do people use “.
What’s best might be the 2K ones, but lots use the $300 ones !!

We had a Webasto in our old camper trailer for 10 years, it was faultless and I never had to touch it at all…never did any maintenance on it, it’d just start up after sitting unused for 6 - 9 months at a time, even with the old fuel in it.

Google Sydney Diesel Heaters, or check his FB page.

Haven’t read a single negative review of his product, though no doubt there’d be some whinger’s comment somewhere.

Pricing about mid range, I’d say?

Hi Iyellw
I, like someone else suggested went mid range. Ended up costing about $1500 once I got all the other bits and pieces I needed. Very happy with it. Had it for last two winters.
I don't think it matters what brand as they probably mostly come from the same factory or are at least copies of the same brand name units. I thought it was important to have backup and spare parts available so went that way. I definitely would have liked an Eberspacer but just too expensive at the time. If going extra cheap then I guess one drops it in the bin when malfunctioning and get another.
However that is just not the way my brain works.
No idea what you want to heat but smaller rather than larger seems to be to go. Ours is a 2kw and is more than adequate.
Enjoy your heater.

I had an expensive one that died days before a trip so managed to get a cheap ($300?) 5 kw off ebay. That was 3 years ago and it has been a ball tearer.

Got talking to a bloke about 4 weeks ago that built his own 20ft off-road van and he bought a $2500 heater thinking that if you buy quality you won’t have problems.
It has failed on him 3 times in 2 years….as always , nowhere near a service centre for them. Wishes he had bought the $200 job..
