Morning all!

Recently had the Injectors replaced on my 1HZ (aftermarket denco turbo)

went to pick up the car and the HP pump is making quite the racket!

I'm aware that things do break but everything sounded healthy before it went in, tech reckons he'd test driven it which I doubt somehow as the noise is very apparent!

thoughts on the new injectors having a higher cracking pressure causing extra load on the pump?
or possible contamination in the return line causing damage to pump?

cheers

Hit the primer pump a stack of times whilst the engine is running and give it a good drive around the block hard.. if the pump wasnt touched I'll be surpised if this doesnt clear it up.

Hey Duncan,

Cheers for that,
Thoughts being maybe minor airlock in the pump?

Shall give it a go cheers!

Yes that sound is very common after a Fuel Filter change.

Id be going with airlock somewhere as well not sure if those puymps had a primer air release bolt or not - recall cracking one open on a perkins diesel as a kid on school bus once -long time ago i might add
