Gregory levels at Riversleigh on the way to Lawn Hill, then further downstream at the bridge near the town.

In the dry it's somewhat different. In the dry

I imagine the Gregory Downs township must be completely submerged, &Riversleigh crossing is unimaginable, I've only ever seen it at a few inches over the concrete crossing, 18 metres would have to be kilometres wide. We drove down from Doomadgee to Adels via the Lawn Hill Station, They would be in all sorts of strife there right now & Adels Grove must be well under. First the fire & now this. Quite disastrous.

If there are any photos ofLawn Hill Gorge in flood from the air & anyone here sees them please post them up.

The beautiful, clear, green Gregory River I knew with barra, Johnson crocs and large fat brown snakes along the banks won't be like that again for quite a while I guess.
