Found this in the bush last weekend at Island Bend in Snowy Mtns. Near old township and airstrip, so could go back to Snowy Scheme era. No luck identifying it on Google. Named the ACE FAB. Any ideas re age etc?

I don’t think it is that old judging from the photo in the link. Possibly only been in the bush a year or so.

Does it have any tubing? What fuel eg any gas inlets? If it's just a firebox then perhaps for a baker's oven? Old time baker's ovens were brick, but perhaps by the 50s/60s there were more portable steel ovens, the precursor of the gas fired ovens that were used when in the 60s, large industrial scale bakeries took over from small bakeries.

If you look at the link provided by rocco2010, you will see it is still currently being produced. It's not a large thing like a bakers oven. Its largest dimension is less than 500 mm long.

I'll have a shot...looks to be all metal fabrication, as opposed to cast. So maybe Ace Fabrications, Bundaberg.

I'll tell, you what, if you brought it home , I would buy it off you, as I collect old stoves ( no I don't onsell them), I use them. Still have and use an Everhot 150, in our kitchen, for cooking and hot water.

It had the legs inside but not the tall flue as per pix in link above. Pointed it out to some rangers as rubbish. Its probably in the Jindabyne tip by now.
