I’ve been told my motor needs to be refurbished or replaced - bottom end issues. (Standard 4.5 ltr, Toyota Landcruiser)
Anyone got any recommendations for a motor rebuilder or alternative motor.
I was told to look at a long motor?
Any support appreciated - I’m
Sydney based
Regards Paul

Good advice re long motor, but waiting time is 3 months+. Rebuilding yours will cost 10k+ in bits plus labour. Just get a second opinion before doing anything as a turbo leak can make the motor use oil, or a caked up inlet can make a cylinder knock, as can a bad injecter ...if it is gone, try wreckers, or even buy a wrecked one from pickles yourself and score difflocks etc/sell off bits and it may not cost much at all....

Paul, since reading this, 2 motors have popped up on ebay locally. Might be worth the gamble.
