BRIDLE TRACK REOPENS
Great news - the Bridle Track has officially reopened today.
The Bridle Track is a much loved 4WD route connecting Bathurst to Hill End.
Rockslides made the original road impassable and a new two-kilometre diversion has been constructed around Monaghan’s Bluff.
The Bridle Track is popular for 4WD, motorbikes, camping, fishing and seeing some of the most spectacular flora and fauna in the area.
This project was made possible by the NSW Government’s investment of $2 million to reopen the track and bring visitors to the region driving the visitor economy.

Sure is Ross but we have moved north, so now it's a 600km trip back to go check it out - probably within a month. I will be keen to see where and how as I got too angry with the political responses I got from local member. Nevertheless it's open and that's what is important!

They should send the same people to work on the Araluen-Moruya Road.... the local council seems to have thrown it in the too-hard basket, stopping just short of admitting they don't know how to fix the area(s) affected by landslips.

Bathurst Council got a gov grant 6 or 7 years ago but it took a long time for the 'fix' to appear. I think they have re-routed through a nearby property and around and across the top of the pass Tim, that's what it seems to be from the photos I saw - that's why I'm keen to go back and check it out.
