I cant eat my Brekky driving along without risking a big fine

or sip my Maccas coffee whilst i glance at the days schedule.

And the wife cant straighten her hair and put makeup on while hurtling down the freeway at 120km hr with out risking the same penalty.

Different penalties for each state.

what are we going to do?

Cheers Axle.

Pay attention to the primary task!!!!

(Which may vary, depending on an individual's priorities. LOL)

Keep your eyes on the road and hands on the steering wheel!

"Me.. pie in one hand coffee in the other steering w knee :))"

You must have your original knees AND power steering. Alright for some !!

Get with it axle and buy one of those self driving Teslas. When it autonomously crashes into something you'll be fashionably going out in style. :-)

Think about the other road users, and stop being a dick, would be my advice.

I was nearly killed a while ago, by somebody who thought like you do.

Cheers!

Ian, First off i'm sorry if you where involved in a accident by someone not caring'.

My post is NOT about what i do, nor how i think, but what i have continually noticed with others out on the freeways. Just trying to keep it light thats all!

Cheers Axle.

In that case Axle, why did you make it sound like it was you who wanted to do all those things?

My interpretation of this thread was that it was typical Aussie ironic humour. In other words it was saying why do we need laws to make inattention unacceptable? Very much after the principal of calling a tall person shorty etc.

I think we are selling our fellow forumites a bit short if we think they really believe that using your knee to steer while both hands are being used for food/drink etc.

Ken

I'm disappointed Axle. The irony was pretty obvious but I thought it was a tongue in cheek poke at the knee-jerk responses sometimes found on this very forum. Only thing missing was reference to the 'nanny state'.

The changing face of humour is commentary on the world we live in. Times are indeed tough when I can't even throw a cream pie in someone's face without getting charged with assault.

Conveying meanings such as irony or even humour on a forum often seems to result in mistaken intentions and a whole lot about nothing. Mr Google indicated this emoji ?? is meant to convey irony amongst other related emotions. Perhaps this post is contributing even more.

Presumably your pie was acquired via a skip dip/dumpster dive Michael?

Hmmm, it is not an offence as such, to have a drink or bite on a meat pie. The issue is that by doing these things you may "Not be in a position to properly control the vehicle". So, if you want to do this stuff, as I do regularly, then make sure that you don't do anything that attracts the unwanted attention of the the constabulary.

In other words, demonstrate that you are clearly in proper control of the vehicle.
