Expedition Park Road

How do I interpret the road info on this one.
The road runs from Bauhania to near Taroom but is coloured
a solid red with black dashes on it
Page 5 of the manual doesn’t seem to have it illustrated.

On my map the road from Bauhinia Park to Taroom is just red. Might be wrong road.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply Jim, on my map it’s overprinted as “Expedition Park Road” & meanders around eventually joining the main road near “Chain Of Lagoons”. It passes through the Murphy Conservation area near its southern end & it isn’t the Fitzroy Developement Road. It is to the west of the Fitzroy DR. Does it appear on your map?

Hi Augustus, yes I see what you say (on my map), and the dotted line continues along the Dawson Hwy? through to Rolleston and further. I would assume in my thinking that it is someone's trek route as an overlay. I have seen this on other roads/tracks and hwy's, hence my assumption.
If this is not the case, I am interested in other opinions.

Looking on my iPad , which is much clearer and sharper, it seems like maybe it's the Expedition National Park boundary, which follows the road.
Or is it an old gas line ?

Cheers

Looks like an “Exploroz Trek”, untick the box and should disappear.

Been as far as Robinson gorge and Starkvale camp ground from Taroom. Road was traffickable in a high clearance 2wd in dry weather. Didn't go past that, looking at the map it seems a continuation of what we travelled on.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Not sure if I have solved anything but am very appreciative of people helping. Probably have to travel it ourselves to find out.

As others have said, it's an ExplorOz Trek.
If you have these selected in the overlays then it will be interactive like this....you tap the line to reveal this pop-up. Click Show for full info. Click GOTO to load the route in the navigator.

When Treks are chosen my iPad shows them as black line with white dashes which can be selected, when turned off the the treks are shown as a normal red road with black dashes, prob that way just to make you aware that there is a trek there with out over writing the main roads ??

We travelled this route in April 2021. From Taroom to Stockvale campsite should be passable with high clearance 2WD. From Stockvale north to rejoining Glenhaughton Rd we were in low range 4WD for a few cut up creek crossings & climbs.
Note the route into Stockvale deviates from the marked track / trek where it leaves Glenhaughton Rd. QPWS have it well signposted.
Hopefully the screenshot will show it :
Cheers
