What device are you using? How much RAM (not total memory as in 64, 128 256GB, RAM as in 2, 3, 4 etc GB)

The Samsung 9.7. Is that a Tab A with a number or a Tab S with a number or something else. How old is it? That will help others research. 3GB RAM is marginal IMO. Others say it is not, but every Samsung device I have tested with Traveller and the new maps (
EOTopo 2021) with less than 4GB has come up as a fail for me - too slow, lots of blue screen that takes ages to fill.

More likely to be an issue is what version of the Android OS is on it? Keep in mind that Google no longer support version of Android 7.1.2 or below and as such we cannot give support or guarantee that devices with such OS will work as expected.

Click the Map Icon in the top right corner.. make sure there's no Tick against any Online Maps..and make sure there is a Tick against Offline ->
EOTOPO 2021
I was struggling with this on the weekend when I was in a marginal connection areas.

I had the same problem on a newly acquired Samsung tablet.
When I got
home I deleted all the maps and reloaded them and that fixed the problem.
I think I downloaded the maps and didn't load them all to the same location on the device.
You can choose where you store them.
I hope that helps.
William
