Birdsville Tk & Walkers Crossing Tk - SA

This is the junction of the 4WD only Walkers Crossing Track and the Birdsville Track - a public access route (PAR) through pastoral leasehold land to and from Innamincka. The track may be closed after rain and is a bit confusing down the Innamincka end because of oil and gas field roads. They are all signposted and not open to the public so there's really only one way to go. Walkers is mainly floodplain sand and dust except the 30 km of rocky gibber plains east of the Birdsville Track. Scenery is quite varied. Great alternative to Cordillo Downs road.
