This is the correct location of Upper Carawine Pool - a large wide body of water just before it enters the
Upper Carawine Gorge however this is not
the spot that is mistakenly referred to as Upper Carawine where you can
camp. This spot is accessible by taking a side track off the main track to a lush small grassy spot where you can park up but you'll have to walk through the scrub to reach the water. Very limited space to turn around even the smallest of camper trailers. Cattle tracks everywhere.

camp on the river, stick to the main track - the
camp is on the
Oakover River Crossing - the correct name is
Oakover Crossing Camp.
