The Mt Robinson
Rest Area is a very popular spot throughout the day for caravanners and travellers to stop for a break however, a 4wd track leads to
the summit of the mountain from the back of the
rest area. It is steep and is very gravelly with a very tight corner on the first bend - unhitching trailers would be most advisable if you wish to drive up. Alternatively you can hike up the vehicle track or follow the trail into
the gorge and then scramble to the top along the gully (overgrown and unmarked - highly experienced hikers only wearing sturdy hiking boots and protective gaiters to avoid cuts and sores from spinifex).
