Stingray Head - NT

Beach NT 94 is located immediately south of the settlement and is a 2.7 km long, relatively straight, west-facing sand beach, bordered by 5-10 m high dark laterite bluffs, with a 1 km wide shallow lagoon backing its centre. A 4WD track runs along the top of the bluffs and back of the beach to the creek mouth. The beach is fronted by a mixture of 500 m wide sand and rock flats off the southern Stingray Head, grading to 200 m wide sand flats to the north. Laterite rocks and beachrock outcrop along the beach, the laterite increasing toward the northern bluffs.
