It depends which local you ask, cp Mackay in Qld.
The oldies know that the name derives from "Cull-Erin", so they say it that way.
Many of the others intone a sound like "colour-in".
Them there are the non locals like me who had to ask, but are likely say it with the emphasis on the first sound, but nearly tone flat "Cull-er-en".
