Lovick’s Hut is one of the larger huts in the High Country and is constructed of corrugated iron over locally sawn timber posts and railings. The fire place is massive and the floor has been paved with slabs of local
rock cemented firmly into place. The hut overlooks a large, fenced yard and is surrounded by green flats that make it a favourite with the horse riding fraternity.
