Hi All,
I am looking for a not too big off-road van (mainly for the durability and going to be going on some rough roads like the
Gibb River Rd (if its open in 6 months after the wet), and others through the Kimberly and WA Coast.)
I'm not going to be doing competition driving but have a normal LWB diesel Pajero (will be getting a 2 inch lift in the coming weeks).
Towed heaps of boats, not much in the way of a big box on the back end tho. Going to look at a 2001 Regent X-treme off-road van with the cut away back end in a couple of days.
Is there anywhere that has some info on these vans. Some search n the 'Google' don't bring much to me.

Any particular reason not to use the Pajero? We used ours (actually a Montero - same car, different name) on the GRR, many routes in the Kimberly,
Pilbara, other bits of WA, Simpson, etc., and it did a great job. You can see the route if you scroll down through this post:

No offence intended, but I think you may have misinterpreted what the OP has stated. He is going to use the Pajero, just not competition driving in it.

Ah - I think I'm suffering from a language barrier : (
I now realise that reference to a "van" means a caravan, to be towed by the Pajero; I was assuming that it was a van in the sense of a four wheeled vehicle with panels on the sides.... to be used as an alternative to the Pajero.

pic here, Andy. Assuming it is the one with G&S chassis and Control Rider
suspension you’ll be fine. We took ours along the GRR and a lot worse. Repeatedly and there’s nothing to be concerned about as long as tyres, bearings etc are good and generally. Good solid van.
Also had the most comfortable lounge we’ve ever had (7 vans) Most, you just perch on. This was firm enough to sit up at the table but also soft and generous to sink into
