Thank you Phil and glad you enjoyed it.

It’s a piece of modern history that many are not aware of.

Most of us take these things for granted these days Stephen. We had a look along the Murray/Darling from Wentworth to Echuca on the way to Tassie in 2014 and was quite interested in the river system and had a gekko at 'the confluence' and going back for another peek next month we hope. We also enjoyed the 'Proud Mary' adventure about twenty years back - and that reminded us very much of the kimberley region - along the Ord river in parts. Many of our rivers north of us rarely have water in them when we visit in the middle of the year, so eastward it is this trip and north when it gets too cold. _Cheers , Phil

As you know Phil, the flows down the Darling have been very controversial and unfortunately there where many cotton irrigators that added to this problem.

All we can do is hope both state and federal government do the right thing and get this under control.

We also hope that the theft of water is now monitored and those responsible are brought to court.

Have a great trip when you do head off, as there are so many great places to visit in these areas.
