Hey everyone,
In my van, I am running 500 ah of lithium batteries, in all the rainy weather NSW has been getting recently, my batteries only last 4.5 days without much solar, I have a 1500w 240v PSW inverter, and I recently swiched it to draw off my cranking battery while the car is running, but it wouldnt run my 30amp battery charger, i put an amp meter on my 240v charger and it peaks at 675w on initial startup (60ish amps @ 12v), any idea why it wont run on my inverter? Im contemplating running a generator or dc-dc charger if i cant sort it out

What sort of cabling is between the inverter and the cranking battery?

If it is not big enough for the length of the circuit there will be a big voltage drop during that 60 amp startup which may cause the inverter to stop due low input voltage.

In my books if you ask people with more knowledge than yourself a question then dont listen to their answer then YES, you are very much an idiot.

Generally... you only seem to need 100ah per day.... I get this easy with 800w of solar even on poor weather days.
