Hi all we have a 04 Landcruiser and the K's to empty reading flickers to all different amounts and you can hear a clicking noise as
well coming from it has anybody had this problem the normal full/empty gauge works fine it's just Ks to empty one that is playing up ???
Any help much appreciated

The K's to empty gauge is operated by the trip computer and ECU according to fuel used etc. Seeing the main gauge is OK, and the K's to empty is dependent on electronics and not tank sensor, it seems likely that the dash connector plug to dash display is loose/dirty pins or corroded. Maybe
check the integrity of under dash and rear of dash circuit board connectors to see if anything changes. If it is getting intermittent signals and is effectively being constantly turned ON and OFF, that may explain the ticking sound as it becomes "alive" and then dead again.
