Can we get from the ACT bubble to the NT bubble via back roads with out contravening any laws?

Or can we get anywhere?

Mandatory quarantine arrangements are no longer in place for interstate arrivals, other than persons arriving from an area that has been declared a coronavirus hotspot.

All people seeking to enter the NT must fill in a Border Arrival Form. This form is available online at coronavirus.nt.gov.au and at border access points.

Territory borders will remain closed to areas declared COVID-19 hotspots until further notice. Hot spots will be identified by State or Territory Governments, or by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee, with updates listed on coronavirus.nt.gov.au.

Persons arriving to the NT from hot spot areas will be required to undertake mandatory supervised quarantine at a Territory Government approved facility at their own cost. Mandatory supervised quarantine will be at the Howard Springs quarantine facility or another approved facility elsewhere in the Territory.

Persons arriving in the NT from declared coronavirus hotspots must complete travel to an approved quarantine facility as quickly as possible, which must be no later than 72 hours after entry.

You cannot get into Qld because Qld has declared NSW and the ACT a hotspot - why ACT is a hotspot I do not know.

Does SA allow NSW travellers in? - I dont know but I think not - so as you have to go through NSW you probably cannot get into SA.

So unless you fly direct Canberra to NT then I think you cannot get into NT without at least some quarantine.

The story I heard was that some Queenslanders who had been in Sydney tried to get back into Queensland by booking a flight from Canberra airport, so entry from the ACT was closed.

So it is ACTs fault that Qld cannot correctly vet incoming travellers and determine where they are from - absolute BS.

Yes, South Aust. currently blocks both NSW and ACT, as per this ruling:

"Travellers from ACT and NSW, other than essential travellers, will be required to:

self-quarantine for 14 days after entering SA
submit for COVID-19 testing on:
the first day of entry to SA (the day of arrival)
the twelfth day of arrival."

Yes but the ACT has not had any Covid for almost 90 days - political decision and not a medical based decision.

And only one case in April where the source was unknown. A check of compliance with the self isolation following the Batemans Bay exposure of around 50 people found 100% at home where they should have been. So yes BS.

Instead of getting opinions from those who may or not know the correct facts, go to which ever state official web site.

NSW is your (only) oyster Bill - as long as you avoid Covid-19 hotspots, sanitize regularly, maintain social distancing and preferably quarantine when you return. Complacency wrt group gatherings has caused too many setbacks (at massive cost to jobs and the economy) already.
