Mt Augustus to Newman

Hi All
Just wondering if anyone can confirm if its possible to get from Mt Augustus to
Newman without having to go back to the GNHW . I have only found one map that's shows a track gong to Turee Creek but nothing shows up on Hema maps .

The old 1:250,000s show a connection west of Turee Creek, but it may not be open and it is probably private. Call the local stations.

A few years back, we came down to Mt Augustus via Ashburton Downs and the Pingandy Road. From memory, there were only two turnoffs to the left (other than to yards), being both ends of the Mininer Loop.

We did the same trip as you mentioned in reverse a few back on our way up to Karijini which was a great but this time we want to head to
Newman via the most direct route possible and as we are not towing anything we wouldn't mind a bit of an adventure but its seems that back track to Kumarina which is a bugger .

Take the Dooley Downs/Pingandy Road. turn left at the Ashburton Downs/
Meekatharra Road tee
junction. Then turn right onto the Paraburdoo/
Tom Price road. From there it's straight forward to
Newman. I don't think you can get across to GNH easily any other way. Prarie Downs/Turee Creek my be a possibility but as previously mentioned, would be best to
check with Station owners.
The Asburton Downs road is fine but the Dooley Downs/Pingandy road was a bit rough and windy when we went through last year.
