Used our Snowpeak forged steel tent pegs for the first time on the weekend and well worth the price. (available from Drifta)
Easy to get into hard rocky ground (friends camping next to us bent their standard pegs putting them in) and even easier to remove. A couple of twists with the snowpeak hammer to loosen them and they came straight out. So easy in fact that the good lady did it and now has added this as her job.
No affiliation with this, just happy with the product. I'm getting too old and stiff in the joints to be wrestling with stubborn tent pegs so anything to make it easier must be good.

Groundgrabba pegs do it for me. Being able to screw pegs in and out is a massive advantage over hammering - faster, and better grip ability.
With the Groundgrabba's you can use a wheelbrace, a socket and ratchet, or a cordless drill.

With the Groundgrabba bag, you can carry a range of the Groundgrabba styles to suit the ground you need to anchor in.
No single peg of any type is suitable for all ground types.

The litmus test for pegs/ground anchors is using them for tying down light aircraft.
If they can withstand an aircraft wing pulling on them, they're as good as you'll ever need.
