Hi Greg - Yes, provided you use genuine Nitto Hi-Cupla Ace, plastic connectors, and not steel ones.

These Hi-Cupla Ace couplers are designed for use with air, water, and inert gases and are made from POM (acetal copolymer) and PBT (polybutylene terephthalate).

These plastics are high strength thermoplastics produced specifically for engineering purposes.

The problem with steel Nitto airline connectors are twofold -

One - even if you use genuine stainless steel connectors, there are still components in the connector that are not stainless and not corrosion resistant - such as springs and balls and valve components.
Putting water through these couplers will result in component corrosion, causing great difficulty in the operation of the connector.

Two - there are a lot of non-genuine Nitto couplers that are lower quality than the genuine Nitto couplers.
The "stainless" components in these aftermarket couplers will rust just from using air! - such is the low levels of chromium in their "stainless" steels!

Nitto specify exactly what the proposed liquids or gases are, that can be used with their various types of couplers. Stick with their advice and you won't encounter any problems.

Cheers, Ron.

Greg

Your post doesn't allude to why you want to use NITTO fittings specifically, but there are specific water fittings for campers, trailers and caravans. One type are John Guest plumbing fittings (you can also get knock offs of these).

They are designed for push together fitting during construction, are made for hot and cold water, handle constant pump pressure and have the NITTO style bayonet quick connect for hoses etc.

Cheers

Anthony

I use DME Water fittings for our Onboard Shower setup, common in the plastics and diecasting industries. similar to brass hose fittings only much better quality and operation. Hot and Cold water use. Michael.
