Does anyone happen to know of an OPEN public weighbridge within driving distance of Adelaide? All the ones I have seen are either seasonal (and closed) or industrial (and not available to the public).

Thanks for that. One of the closer-in ones stated they are NOT a public one, but the top one on that list obliged and the cost was "Nah, no problems mate!" so it worked out really well. Thanks again.

Can't comment about SA regulations but in WA for any weights required for licensing and compliance purposes, weight bridge needs to be a registered weigh bridge with relevant authorities.

Few years ago I had to get a comms trailer weighed for licensing, sure enough closest registered bridge was a recycling plant -had to wait awhile (natural in WA) for few trucks to be cleared before I was weighed up and ticket issued.

So its quite possible it will be "private" and be within certain business hours

Yep I've gotten a weigh in at Marion Sand & Metal, also a couple of the metal recycling yards (Cottage Lane Hackham is obliging).
